Curriculum & Instruction Program Manager (FT)

The Curriculum & Instruction Program Manager is responsible for overseeing in-person and/or virtual instruction at participating schools. He or she will supervise the staffing of qualified personnel to ensure effective instructional strategies and best practices are properly applied to enhance student learning, thereby achieving company educational program goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with the Director of Educational Programs and program management team
  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or attend professional development for service providers
  • Participate in the implementation of family engagement programs and opportunities for participating schools
  • In collaboration with the School Operations Program Manager(s), supervise and evaluate assigned instructors, tutors, academic coaches, and arts providers
  • Engage in continued professional development to increase knowledge of current trends in the education profession
  • Foster effective teamwork between management and onsite service providers
  • Identify, assess, and inform the Director of Educational Programs of issues that may affect instruction, academic coaching and/or fine arts service provision
  • Provide the Director of Academic Programs with quarterly progress reports for participating schools
  • Delegate tasks to Instruction Associate needed to achieve educational goals and objectives
  • Ensure that necessary supplies, materials, technology and equipment needed to provide services and improve student achievement is made available to service providers
  • Participate in the development, creation and production of all training materials
  • Observe classroom instruction in participating schools to ensure instructional strategies and best practices are being used in the classroom, and provide feedback to service providers (tutors, instructors, academic coaches, artists, etc.)
  • Conduct timely and thorough site observations and initiate corrective action plans to ensure mandatory programmatic compliance and standards are being met at participating schools
  • Ensure company policies and procedures for service providers are adhered to
  • Track the progress and outcomes of various program activities (i.e. professional development for teaching)

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Education (Masters preferred) from an accredited institution
  • State of Illinois Teacher Certification
  • Proficient knowledge of core educational subjects
  • 5 or more years of progressive academic instruction experience in an academic education sector
  • Ability to build rapport with school administrators and teachers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
